Systeme.io pricing: is Free enough?

Start with one funnel. Pay for a real constraint—not a longer feature list.

Short answer: evaluate Free first if you need a small funnel, follow-up emails and a simple offer in one place. Consider paying only after you can name the limit that prevents your actual workflow from running. If your existing tools already do this reliably, switching may create more work than it removes.

Evidence, not a hands-on review: this is a decision guide based on current official documentation. Nico has not benchmarked deliverability, checkout conversion or long-term reliability. The evaluation steps below are recommendations for your own test, not claims that we completed those tests.

What does Systeme.io cost?

Still deciding whether an all-in-one funnel fits your business? Start with our Systeme.io review and workflow evaluation checklist, then return here to compare plans.

The official pricing FAQ, checked September 11, lists these USD monthly prices and contact allowances:

Free is described as including three funnels, one course, one blog and one custom domain, with unlimited email sends and no expiry or credit-card requirement. These are the published FAQ figures, not a checkout quote: the interactive comparison table did not populate during our check. Verify current account limits, currency, taxes and billing interval before upgrading; do not treat a monthly price as an annual total.

When Free is the sensible starting point

Use a deliberately small pilot: one offer, one opt-in page and one follow-up path. The official funnel documentation describes a visual page builder connected to email and product delivery. That is useful when the job spans those steps; it is not a reason to rebuild an already-working business.

When paying—or staying elsewhere—makes more sense

Upgrade only when a confirmed contact, funnel, course or automation limit blocks a working process. Write down the additional monthly cost and the specific recurring task it removes. If the task is rare, a manual step may still be cheaper.

Do not migrate just to consolidate logos. Stay with your current setup if a required integration, approval process or layout cannot be reproduced, or if migration would interrupt a working sales flow. Keep payment-processing charges, domains, optional services and your own time in the budget; a $0 subscription is not a zero-cost business.

Check the exit before committing

Systeme.io’s contact export instructions document CSV exports sent to the account email, with a download available for three days. That is a contact export—not proof that complete funnels, automations or courses can move intact to another provider. Keep independent copies and check each asset type before cancelling an old service.

  1. Define success: a consent-based test subscriber reaches the correct page and receives the expected follow-up.
  2. Check failures: inspect duplicate subscriptions, unsubscribe behavior and any payment or delivery step you intend to use.
  3. Check recovery: export the test contacts and record how to return to the old process before migrating real customers.

Nico’s call: validate first, upgrade for a reason

If one simple funnel is your missing piece, Free is a reasonable place to evaluate the fit. If all you need is more traffic or a clearer offer, a new platform will not solve that on its own. Choose the smallest stack that solves today’s real job.
