Carrd vs Systeme: which fits your first offer?

Quick decision: evaluate Carrd when you need a focused landing page and already have a working follow-up tool. Evaluate Systeme when you need to connect a page, email and an offer in one place. Neither choice creates an audience for you.

What are you actually buying?

Carrd’s official Pro comparison lists Pro Standard at $19 per year with 10 sites, custom domains, forms and embeds. Pro Lite is $9 per year but does not list Standard’s custom-domain and form capabilities. Pro Plus is $49 per year and adds advanced forms and site downloads. A headline starting price is therefore not enough to select a plan.

Compare one complete workflow

• Page → existing email service: Carrd can make sense when you want to keep the email tool you know. Its official Pro page lists signup integrations including Kit and beehiiv. Verify your exact integration and the receiving service’s plan separately.
• Page → new follow-up → offer: evaluate a small Systeme setup if those connections are missing. Start with a single consenting test contact and one expected action.
• Page → enquiry → manual reply: avoid buying a complex funnel just to receive a few enquiries. Write down where manual follow-up actually fails before paying to automate it.

Compare total cost, not annual against monthly headlines

For each option, list the page subscription, domain renewal, email subscription and any connection service you need. Add setup and repair time. A $19 annual page plan and a combined business platform are different purchases; calculate the cost of the same end-to-end job.

Do not cancel a working subscription until the replacement completes your essential workflow. If your existing email process already works, replacing it only to reduce the number of tools can create more work than it removes.

A practical decision test

1. Write one offer, one audience and one next action.
2. Build the smallest page and verify its mobile form with a consenting test contact.
3. Check that the follow-up arrives and that an unsubscribe behaves as expected.
4. Check what you can export. Retain original copy and assets; do not assume an automation transfers between platforms.
5. Upgrade only for a documented limit that blocks this working process.
