Standards

Editorial policy

Effective September 3, 2026

Our goal is practical decision support, not maximum product coverage. A recommendation must earn its place through a defined reader need and current evidence.

Evidence and freshness

We prefer current primary sources for objective product, price, feature, program, and eligibility claims. Volatile claims carry a check date and must be reviewed again before commercial publication.

Experience and independence

We do not fabricate testing, reviews, outcomes, urgency, scarcity, or guarantees. When we have not used a product, we say so or restrict the work to documented facts and decision criteria.

Commercial relationships

Affiliate participation does not allow a product to bypass our evidence and review standards. Commercial relationships are disclosed clearly near each recommendation and before the first affiliate link.

Corrections

Material errors should be corrected promptly and transparently. A substantive update creates a new reviewed revision rather than silently changing an approved recommendation.
